May 11, 2022

On Monday, the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino announced plans to invest $100 million to renovate its 30-year-old Milwaukee venue. The fund will be used to refurbish the building's third floor to accommodate a better entertainment experience in the area.

"Not only will this elevate the brand, it will further our long-standing status as the premier entertainment destination in the region as the market becomes significantly more competitive," said Dominic Ortiz, CEO and General Manager of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.

"This is just the beginning. Additional exciting changes and new amenities are in store."

The Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee is operated by the Forest County Potawatomi in Wisconsin, 55 miles north of Waukegan, Illinois. The casino has just extended its partnership with the Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise of the city, the Milwaukee Brewers.

"Milwaukee and southeast Wisconsin has been home to the Potawatomi for hundreds of years, and this project is another example of how we are continuing to invest in and better the communities that we call home," said Ned Daniels, Jr., Chairman of the Forest County Potawatomi.

"We are excited to bring these new experiences to our guests and to continue our role as the top entertainment destination in Wisconsin."

The third-floor renovation at Potawatomi casino is planned to complete in the spring of 2023.

New features

The renovation will cover more than 120,000 square feet of the Potawatomi Milwaukee's venue. It will add several rooms to the floor, including a high-limit gaming room, which is planned to feature an upscale craft bar, a stage, and a brick-oven gourmet kitchen.

About 1,800 slot machines, as well as cashier stations and 4K television screens, will fill the entire venue's floor after the renovation is over. The casino will also add a new bar which will house the first bar-top games in the whole venue. Members who join the casino loyalty program can also reap the benefits from the brand new service of the Fire Keeper's Club booth.

The renovation will add features to the skywalk and entry area, including modern dΓ©cor, LED lighting, video walls, and a sound system.

The newly renovated venue will also include new food service options. There will also be three places for quick-service meals, allowing patrons to either eat on the spot or have their order delivered to their own gaming stations, as well as a Starbucks outlet.

The venue will also add the new Potawatomi Rock & Brews restaurant, which will offer the best dining experience in the casino. Rock & Brews is a chain restaurant established by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, former members of the renowned band KISS. The rock 'n' roll-themed restaurant will offer local and craft beers while serenading the patrons with live music. It will be located near the skywalk at the entrance just across from the Starbucks outlet.
