BetMGM to hold first-ever Poker Championship at ARIA Casino Las Vegas

Leading sports betting and online gaming operator BetMGM has announced a new poker tournament. It is planning to host its first-ever BetMGM Poker Championship in Las Vegas. The event will take place at the ARIA Resort & Casino for four days from June 23 to June 26.
"The first-ever BetMGM Poker Championship descends on Las Vegas during one of the most exciting times of the poker season," BetMGM’s Director of Poker Luke Staudenmaier said in a news release.
This BetMGM’s exclusive event will be held as a part of the 2022 ARIA Poker Classic. In addition to a $3,500 buy-in option, the event will offer a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. It will pose itself as an irresistible tournament at the resort’s Poker Classic this year.
"ARIA is a legendary poker brand and we're thrilled that the Championship has become an integral part of this year's Poker Classic," Staudenmaier added. "Through our relationship with MGM Resorts and its world-class U.S. properties, we'll continue to leverage event programming and connect with players both online and in their favorite poker rooms."
How the tournament works
BetMGM will offer a variety of award prize packages. Each one of these packages comes equipped with a buy-in to the No Limit, Hold ‘Em tournament.
BetMGM then selects a minimum of 15 players from each of the 15 live poker markets currently available to award the packages. The winners will receive the bundles after the conclusion of the daily qualifiers and the weekly satellite tournaments.
On top of the prize packages, the winners will get a free stay at the ARIA resort for five nights. All of their travel expenses will be reimbursed as well.
One of the event’s highlights is the BetMGM Poker Mystery Bounty. The players can level up their way into the Mystery Bounty for a total of $600.
This promotion will be the first of its kind in the world. It will feature a contemporary live poker knockout event on the stage of the world-famous ARIA Resort & Casino.
