Betfred opens at Silver Reef Casino Resort in Washington

Betfred USA Sports and the Lummi Nation announced the opening of the newest sportsbook at the Silver Reef Casino Resort in Ferndale, Washington on Wednesday.
Warren Moon, a former American football quarterback who played professionally for 23 years and is regarded as one of the greatest, was the first person to place a bet at the Lummi Nation's tribal casino.
The Betfred Sportsbook occupies the former Portage Bay Bar location. The book is over 2,000 square feet in size and features several high-definition video screens, as well as multiple stations and self-service kiosks. It also has a high-quality sports pub that will serve food and beverages to sports fans to accompany their betting experience.
At Silver Reef, there are over 1,000 slot machines, 16+ table games, 206 hotel rooms, a full-service spa, an 18-hole championship golf course, national entertainment, multiple restaurants and bars, and over 30,000 square feet of meeting space.

Chief operating officer Bryan Bennett of Betfred USA Sports said that the company is excited to leverage its five decades of experience as a bookmaker to open the Betfred Sportsbook at the Sliver Reef Casino.
“We look forward to utilizing our 50 years of bookmaking experience to make the Betfred Sportsbook at Silver Reef Casino Resort the go-to destination for sports wagering in the state,” Bennett said.
Fred and Peter Done founded Betfred Group, in 1967. It now owns and operates over 1,400 betting shops in the United Kingdom, as well as online and mobile betting services in both the United Kingdom and Spain.
Betfred USA Sports which was established in Las Vegas in 2019 is a sportsbook sponsor of the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, and Colorado Rockies, is currently a licensed operator in Arizona, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Washington, and Colorado, with regulatory approval pending in Ohio, Nevada, Maryland, and Virginia.
Betfred also plans to open a sportsbook at the Mohegan Sun Casino at the Virgin Hotel Las Vegas, as well as to work with the Cincinnati Bengals to operate in Ohio. Betfred is also looking to expand into Maryland and Virginia.
Betfred confirmed last month that it will remain the World Matchplay's main sponsor until at least 2025, as part of a renewal of its existing partnership with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), which was first agreed upon in 2019.
Betfred, Manchester United partnership
Betfred recently became an official betting partner of Manchester United in the United Kingdom. The collaboration, however, comes at a perilous time for gambling regulations and sports fans' attitudes toward such affiliations.
According to a 2020 study, one-third of sports fans are discouraged from purchasing their favorite team apparel if it contains the image and branding of gambling companies.
This attitude has not improved in 2022, Footballers' Supporters Against Gambling Adverts has waged one of the most vocal campaigns against such arrangements, hoping to raise awareness about the harm gambling causes the community and victims' families.
