Caesars Entertainment Reopens Tropicana Online Casino in New Jersey
June 28, 2023
The state of New Jersey has lived through many changes when it comes to both the online gambling market and its traditional casinos.
One of the most recent changes came when Caesars Entertainment (CZR) reopened Tropicana Online Casino in the Garden State adding another place to the list of the best gambling sites in New Jersey.
Here are the most important details of how this story developed and what you can expect with the rebranding campaign.
A Brief History of What Happened Last Year
As mentioned above, the Tropicana Online Casino will once again reopen through Caesars Entertainment after being decommissioned last year. This decision left many New Jersey residents unhappy and the people responsible for it recognized the will of the people.
The decommission came after the casino ended its partnership with Bally’s, formerly known as Gamesys.
On June 13, 2022, the Tropicana Online Casino app was officially closed after all player accounts and credit were moved over to Caesars Casino.
But, things have changed since then. Customers in New Jersey can now play online at TropicanaCasino.com or download the gaming app on their iOS or Android devices. The new program also utilizes the Caesars Rewards program.
Here Is What Matthew Sunderland, SVP of iGaming at Caesars Digital Had to Say Regarding the Issue
“The relaunch of Tropicana Online Casino is an important step in our progression toward providing valued customers with the best iGaming products in the industry,” Sunderland said.
"We’re confident this new offering delivers an elevated online casino experience with rewards that can’t be matched, similar to the industry-best experiences customers enjoy at Tropicana Atlantic City.”
This man is known for his dedication to providing people with the best possible online gambling conditions.
With this new initiative, it would seem like he is on a path to do just that.
A Fresh Start
For all of those who may not know, Caesars announced on March 28, 2023, that it would rebrand the beloved CaesarsCasino.com website back to the Tropicana Online Casino site.
Executives within Caesars say that the app will also feature key software updates that will improve users’ gaming experience.
Joseph Giunta, SVP and General Manager of Tropicana Atlantic City said, “Tropicana Online Casino enhances the exceptional gaming experience we take pride in bringing to our New Jersey customers every day.”
Giunta continued, “We are pleased to offer our guests the convenience of enjoying their favorite casino games in a fresh and responsible manner, right at their fingertips.”
A few months back, Caesars also enabled PlayAGS content to go live in New Jersey.
